Heart and Soul
This amazing tale of the struggle of the African American people is eye opening and inspiring to all readers. The story is told by an elderly African American woman. As readers progress through history they will learn about all of the struggles that African Americans had to face from slavery, to Jim Crow laws, then to Civil Rights. Even though this story is a picture book, readers of all ages will enjoy the story and hearing this story from this unique point of view.
