The Graveyard Book

Link to Amazon
This charming story is well written, and very unique, drawing a special audience. The theme and setting of this  story keep it in its own category, apart from all others. If this book had any different setting it would not be as magical and phenomenal as it is. The setting, a graveyard, is integral to the plot, where a young boy who has survived a family massacre goes to a graveyard and ends up raised by ghosts and other similar creatures. The theme of this story comes back to many childhood stories. The theme teaches readers about unconditional love of family, no matter how different they are. The reader learns that even if your family is nothing like you that is okay, and they still love you no matter what.
