Kevin Henkes popular character, Penny, needs to decide what to do when she finds a marble in the yard at her neighbor’s house. Should she keep it? When reading this story discussions can be had with younger readers about the appropriate thing to do when finding something that is not ours. This book is written in a way that beginning readers can have the opportunity to read some for themselves. Henkes style definitely comes through in this charming tale of a young mouse trying to decide what she needs to do.
